Hey anyone running the Freedom American Outlaw High 2-1 exhaust on a Fatboy or other softail? Does it Look/sound/go good? Any problems with heat on the leg? Pics would be helpful. Thanks
yep got one, I like the look, I like the sound, no issues with hot leg and I don,t think it holds my 120r back any.
Fitted today, it's one big bore mutha! Sounds better than my D&D lowcat (bassier) but output down marginally to 103TQ/104HP (was 104/110) but seat of the pants no discernible difference. The biggest benefit and the main reason for getting is that it has no clearance issues!
Thanks for sharing Ando
interesting on the power figures, have you got a chart you can chuck up who did the tune???
what have you done to the engine
and have you got a full pic of you bike with pipe on?
IMO I think they 2 into 1 system looks great on a softail, it looks great in the Black not keen on the chrome as there is way too much chrome for me.
I have the V&H RSD Tracker 2 into 1 exhaust on my Fatboy Lo which is great but I not happy with the ceramic coating on the pipe which is rusting away, this is my second system and its doing the same as the 1st one I fitted.
Not worried about performace as the Softail is only a cruiser not a sport bike :-)
Here you go....not a very good one but hope it helps.
Here is one bad one I took
Thundertech fitted it so I have no idea sorry, they did it with a bunch of other jobs so I can't tell how much time it took!
Slightly better pic...
Thanks Ando, On the bike where the back bracket bolts to the frame I can see 2 nuts. Looking at my bike where the nuts located on both yours and WAhog is 2 what appears to be "blank plugs" and I'm unsure how these "blank plugs" come out, any idea's?
Edit; it took me longer to write the post than it did to remove the plastic threaded blanks, all good.
It's not a Softail, but I have em on my Sporty. Absolutely love them. Mid range is so much more responsive. I do hit them with my legs occasionally though, and they are bloody hot!
