Hey there take it easy, Even old bikes were new once upon a time. Maybe unfortunately it was the only one that has an oil  leak (warranty) and an electrical issue. It will get fixed. Ya cant put all new harleys in the same boat. I'm sure your boy was happy at the time he got it.

And a lesson learnt not to give your old pride and joy away as now you have seen the results! I feel for ya.

A bike had a problem? Fuck me dead that's unheard of! Take it back and demand they give you a trouble free one. I never heard anyone complaining back in the days we all rode dinosaurs.

if it was me and my old man[gr8 bloke by the way] it would still be sitting there waiting for me waiting till i got back....
    why...cause i brought it so
let him take care of it- its his ride ....let his balls grow or drop
tell him to buy a shovel..... that will teach him patience
    and u need to relax
    just saying

I'm with Cooky too....(nice article), but that's probably influenced by the fact I ride a '94 EVO, (which I plan to keep till the day I die) ....

But it's also kinda funny. I may have imagined it, but when I bought it new in '94, there was still a feeling that 'real' Harleys' were anything shovel or earlier, and that only 'yuppies' and 'try hards' bought evos'.... that wheel keeps turning it seems!!

ive had twinkies for alot longer then the 2 years warrenty and done some good miles and never had one on the edge of the road yet.
Also had a 86 model in the early days of my harley owning that i had more trouble with then it was worth.
Im not that mechnically minded but from what ive seen and learnt over the years are that the evos were/are a great engine and saved the company, but from
my experience harley just keeps improving. It seems the twinkies are just a bit to high tech for people to get there heads around so
they stay in there comfort zones of what they know how to work with.

Jeez, just ride what u want to,

can remember when evo's were not considered a harley, they were for the mainstream as cockheads with a blockhea!d, u know someting to appeal to the mainstream with reliabillity so everyone could jump on a Harley, which saved harleys arse.

shit man theyt even lost their kickstarter!

     my how times have changed.

Have purchased a 2012 deluxe to keep my other bikes company and read up on the good and bad and sometimes u just gotta say fuck it, love the 6th gear when i am travellin and my girl loves the comfort, might have cam problems and crank problems but sometimes u just gotta make a move, lifes too short .
