i have just ordered some 444 shocks that are 11.5 inches tried to get them in heavyduty but they didnt come in hd for that size. im 85kgs and passengers are usually between 50-70 kgs does anyone know if that size shocks would be good enough to stop the bike bottoming out on potholes and bumps i normally ride solo but when ever i take someone on the back with stock shocks always bottoms out even if the passangers are light.

i want to go the lowered look but at the same time i dont want to upgrade the shocks only to have the same problem when riding 2 up. has anyone got these shocks and can let me know how they ride before its too late to change the order (its gonna take 2 months for the things to arrive in store before they ship so got a little time to get the order right :D)

I.ve got 430,s , and ordered heavy duty and 1/2 " longer . If I ordered another set again I wouldn,t go heavy duty . When they say 250lb min weight for heavy duty , they mean it . I,m about 230lb and riding solo have no pre load to set 1" sag . They have transformed the bike from a back jarring , bottoming out ride . I can,t believe how people can put up with the stock rear shocks .

yer for me the stock shocks are good unless i hit a pothole when im riding solo . but soon as i go 2up i hit almost anything and it bottoms out and that's with a light passenger thats why i had to make the upgrade i just hope 11.5 inch wont be too short for riding 2 up

I don't rate Progressives, have blown the guts out of two sets now. They are made for yank roads, not our lovely Ozzie roads.
