Hey Fellas,
I went from the SE slipons to V&H bigshots yesterday, what a change I got home and nearly blew the windows out of the missus car and I think our staffy ran away .... Anyway how much of a diffrence does the quiet baffle make ?
Cheers
Jethro, mine cost be arund $27 each (+ postage). I got them from www.cruisercustomizing.com with a heap of other shinys that made the postage worthwhile. They dont drop the actual sound level (db) by that much but they do change the tone to a deeper rumble which to the ear seems to sound quieter and is not as harsh. Also stpped 98% of popping burgle on decel that was there when you shut the throttle from speed, now just a smooth rumble pretty much. I reckon they are worthwhile.
Also put a set in my bike just prior to going down to Phillip Island. They actually give the bike a much better, deeper note rather than the raspy bark without them, they are easy to install but you do have to remove the heat shields first.
Still got plenty of noise when you open it up though, and at idle is easy for others to tollerate and I agree I think the engine is running a little sweeter with these baffles installed. I dont think that outright noise is necessarily the best note.

I gone mine using the net, just picked up the part number off the V&H website, then put it into Google for a supplier which I think ended being an Ebay store.
