Hi all. Have just serviced the bike 08 night train. When draining the primary, water in it again. Oil milky.I have moved from darwin to QLD.Im hoping this was just a darwin issue. Rode in all weather. Never wash when hot, case tight. Is this a common problem.

    Cheers.

first up, no its not a v rod. There is a wire that goes into the front of the primary thought it could be coming in through that, what is that. Or the sandwich plate. They are the only possibilities that i can see.

Most likely water creeping in through the Stator wiring at the front of the casing, the sealing plug is not that tight.
If you wash/wipe rubber grommet/primary case contact surfaces with metho to remove all traces of oil then apply a smear of any high temp silastic, should do the trick.

Thanks for all your help fellas. So badcocky, why do you leave one bolt out of your tensioner. Also that was the shop at home used to say. Now in sunny qld, will drain again in1000k and see how it looks.
    Cheers again
