Hi Guys, i have an 09 streetbob, SE 254e cams, V&H straight shots, SE A/C and power commander V. i now want to lower the suspension front and rear and have been looking at the progressive 11 inch rear shocks and drop in springs for the front.

I have also had a look at Burly lowering kits, Does anyone have any suggestions as to which ones are the go? i just want to lower it to give it that Bobber look but dont want to have it so low it scrapes under the gaurd. i have also heard that progressive actually make Burly suspension, But have also heard that Burly looks the part but are crap. would it be better than stock?

Just put my bob back to stock height for about the third time now.
Dyna simply do not handle when lowered.
Only use the 11 inch shocks for drag racing these days.
Top belt guard also hits the rear fender when lowered, have also wiped out inner wiring loom previously.
They do look good lowered but, but that's all, look.

thanks guys, everything said taken onboard, just hate the look of that rear gaurd sitting so high above the tyre. good point about pipes etc scraping around right hand corners as my pegs/boots scrape as it is.

i will swap to standard hieght but heavy duty as i hate the way the front end does what it wants and the rear does the opposite when cornering hard. i come from a motorcross background and suspension setup is critical to the way the bike performs, with good suspension set up the bike will give you a lot of confidence going into corners hard, where this is quiet nerving!
