new fender

    just finished putting this on ,now i need to paint it , thought i did ok wwith mounts was goin to use a braket but went on spacers

    +1 there...Those spacers are going to flex too much under load and chew up the paint job in no time at all. get some steel bar stock and fab up a nice vertical bracket - i would still be inclinded to TIG it to the fender as well.

    thx guys will do guess ill have do some thinking to improve it,so u mean something like a piece of metal with 2 holes in it for the screws and butt that up against the forks and fender  (im hopeless at metal work lol )..    fell over today went to take it for a quote to spray $400 bucks

    Exactly like that! You could use stainless, painted steel or aluminium. Just buy the bar and shape it.

    That new guard looks friggin awesome too! I love the low wrap around look - just wish i could do the same to the old FXR.

    ok after a week of searching i found what i wanted this is what i come up with
