Baloff tell me about it! My new ultra just keeps on impressing me all the time. Just got back on sunday from a 1000k ride to uralla and back and on the way up there, fully loaded with the missus on the back i had a go wth a Rocker C around the twisties on the Oxley Hwy for about 20 ks or so and kept up with him all the way. Only scraped twice on the left but not bad. He came up to me after when we stopped and couldn't beleive that i could keep up to him! Heeps better clearance than my old heritage and fatty. Coming back home on sunday through Thunderbolts way and me mate behind said he had trouble keeping up through the bends. He was on a 98 evo heritage with a GLH frame, Trease cases and a cam. It was lowered a bit but he was only 1 up. Anyway these new framed tourers are a surprise package. I love it. Sorry, i love Tigger.

plus they're the best looking bagger in the lineup  i went to order one a few weeks ago but  got a killer deal on a new 2012 road king that they needed to move, hope i don't end up regretting  my decision but so far so good.

Yeah congrats on the new rides fella`s , they`re all good these days hey , pretty confidence inspiring handling allround , all the mod cons and great rubber , puz ya can`t go wrong mate , i actually think the roadies have an extra inch of travel and a bit more clearance over the street/roadglides ? Even 2 up and fully loaded they`re awesome plus ya can still add or remove the screen !
My bro in law just bought a new ultra and on riding it to the halfway house , although a mad ride , i think i still much prefer the option of naked styling and only really using the screen and them chrome HD aerofoil lowers on bigger trips . I was thinking of lookin into setting up a detachable batwing and topbox too as they are another quick detach option . Love the 103ci donk , though it does feel a bit warmer in the ultra than the 96ci in the roadie classic !
    Great bikes !

Yeah love the look of both the street/roadglides , doing some pretty kool stuff to them in the US hey , here too now ! I usually like to hear all that`s going on around me and with me bike , but me missus takes an ipod with earplugs on bigger trips , i only tried it one time but just left the earplugs loose in the helmets earwell so i could still sorta hear what was going on around me , it was ok but the thing was , the more intense the music got the more ya tended to gas it up , thing about the ipod is that you program ya music that ya wanna actually hear , me sister was followin me bro in law down the main street (country NSW one radio station) and he had the tunes blastin on his new ultra , then that song , I`m too sexy for my shirt came on , she said that everyone just about pissed themselves , rather than fumble with turnin it down or off and already being laughed at , he just started boppin and singin along too it , fugg knows what they thought , shmick bike though , like a 400kg burger with the lot .

Guys, does the engine shaking at idle annoy anyone? I took a Roadking for a spin, handled well, great torquey engine. I liked it, but the shake rattle and roll at the lights annoyed me a little.

This is my first harley and I moved from a Suzuki Boulevard M90 cruiser in september this year to a 2012 roadking I find the roadking seems slower both on pickup and response, and I definatley feel the heat coming up from the engine, in the handling dept I agree that the handling of the roadking is way better and definatley more solid going into a corner I used to get a bit of front end movement on the suzie and the suzie didnt ride the bumps on the road  where the harley glides over the same bumps without that sharp up your spine jerk that stops at your teeth according to the wife,  as I use the 95 or 98 ron fuel cost is dearer but I think it is better on fuel and am happy with the longer range I am getting too.  so far I have only done 4000ks but am just getting used to the bike which is a great solid machine. And after christmas the wife and I are going to ride it across the Nullie to Perth and back to Melbourne.

Actually I have done 5690ks on the RK since september not 4000 I checked it tonight..... unfortunately I wont be do any riding after the 26th November for at least 4 weeks due to an operation I need but we are still hoping to head off to Perth on the 26th December will depend on what the surgeon reckons I suppose.

G`day canetoad , me bro in law just traded his m109r boulivarde (which he raved about) in on an `12 ultra , i road his suzuki twice , @ 500 kms eachtime and to be honest , i couldn`t wait to get off it both times and that was with an aftermarket seat !
Fuggin` big uncomfortable tractor sounding thing with longshots , went hard enough but the more you got up it the more it vibrated and even worse 2 up , so IMHPO they`re completely opposite to the rubber mount roadies that you can ride all day on , and then some !
Besides that plastic chrome is a bit krass !
If you wanted a harley that didn`t viabrate , the B motors are the go , as in a heritage or something , look on youtube for a short clip "harley nickle test" !
The rubber mount vibration at rest is totally normal and something that you do get used too , i ride a fair bit 2 up and my missus loves it , at times i have to wake her up and despite having a heritage with the B motor prior to the roadie , i don`t think she has ever mentioned the vibration , though she does tend to grin alot at lights ?
I did put a big arse Mustang Super Touring Seat with rider backrest on it though , sorta like a HR Holden bench seat , but totally worth every cent !
