I am considering going to Melbourne in April for Harley's 110th anniversary party, and I am curious if anyone else up here in QLD is thinking of going, Hoping my bike turns up by then too. I ordered my FLSTCANV April last year, but our dealer doesn't have any answers about when it will get here, getting a bit ticked off about that one. anyway back on track, I live in Central coast Queensland and I am curious if many other riders are making the trip.

Yes Harley is having their 110th anniversary party in Williamstown in April, I can post the date up if need be, just have to wait until I get home from work, and check my calendar. Pretty sure from memory it is the second week end I April all I can say for now is it starts on Friday and suppose to end on Sunday. Should be a good turn out. I am sure it would be a good ride anyway.

Here is my offer of free alcohol for your birthday, which you are so nicely sharing with HD, but it is only an offer, not the actual stuff. If I can wangle a 'training' course back over east, and get the company to pay for it, I'll be there.

Any interstaters thinking of going to this event need to think about accomodation soon if you want to be close to Willy.I tried to book yesterday where we normally stay in Williamstown and all booked out,oh well looks like i will lleave the bike at home and the missus can drive.

I have family down that way, so problem for me, I would imagine some pretty heavy traffic though. I was thinking of going down a couple of days earlier, that many bikes would make a difficult time of things, maybe a good idea to stay just out of Melbourne and maybe just catch the train into Williamstown. I suppose I will have to wait and see really. I personally would be getting into anything and everything I could, the dense crowd trying to get a shot of Willy would be too much for me. I also think the ride down would be an adventure on its own, got the camera and GPS ready for when the trip starts.

Hehe I dare say quite a few will be in the legless state, don't know of too many parties where everyone stays sober.

Well it looks like I will be doing the ride on my own as far as family goes. pretty lucky for somewhere to sleep, I have relies down there. I am not real sure which route to take just yet, good chance it will be a coastal trip for me for a while at least, I am sure I will have every stich in the seat imprinted on my a$$ by the time I get back home. Rockhampton to Melbourne is going to be quite a haul for me.

There are free and ticketed sections of the show, for the ticketed sections only H.O.G members can get 3 day passes and they get the chance to buy tickets earlier as well.

Saturday/Sunday (but not Friday) passes will be offered to the general public for sale afterwards.

I did have a print out with details but I can't seem to find it (I'll see if I can chase down another copy).

I am looking forward to this event, I don't know yet if anyone from Rockhampton will be going yet, I am expecting my bike to arrive some time next month, hehe waiting impatiently for my FLSTC-ANV to arrive. I suppose it will be due for a service when I get back home. I have never owned a Harley before so I am not aware of how frequently they have their servicing. I am hoping to meet a few friends along the way. I am not familiar with the area, but the paid area looks like it is next door to the police station on google earth, both sites look a little bit small to me, unless I am expecting a lot more bikes than anyone else, dunno never been to any events like this before. I have made up my mind to just have fun for the 2 weeks I have put aside for the ride.

Clive , congrats on the new ride , like hangin by the dusters waitin hey , goin inland would save ya a fair whack , Mt Morgan QLD down to say Wagga Wagga NSW via Toowoomba , fairly straight run but cuts off a heap of coastal k`s , fuel and time !
You`ll get accomodation the nights before ya arrive and the nights ya leave to freshin up , I reckon there will be plenty of campers stayin close to the action so swag it if accomodation becomes too hard to find , that way ya can drink and get merry , ruff`n it`s more adventurous i reckon anyway ?
Sure the cops will be havin a revenue raisin field day then too ?
