    GET OFF THE FUGGEN PHONE!

Gday all, we have all had our moments with this, and It's been mentioned in various posts on this site about all the dickheads in cars talking/texting on there mobile phones while driving, and the near misses that they cause.  So what do YOU actually do when you see these potential life extinguishers on the road or stopped at lights? Do you shake your head in disapproval or yell at them to get off the phone, or just gesture somehow to get your point across. I hope we all just dont do anything because the more of us that yell out to these fuggers to get off the phone, we might, only slightly but just might, if enough of us do so, might actually get one of these fuggers to put the phone down and potentially save an accident. Maybe even make them think twice next time they pick it up in the car. Yeah, i know that some of these clowns will give us attitude and tell us to go away politely( read fuck off), but at least they will know that we are concerned for our own safety.

I personnally have asked/ yelled/ gestured to some of these offenders with mixed results in the reply, but at least i am happy in trying to curb one of the most dangerous practices on the road these days as you all know it is becoming an epidemic. Like i said before, we have all had our moments whether it be on a bike or in a car/ truck/ van whatever. I am passionate about this and would love the word to spread to your mates to get them to yell at these fuggers to.  Don't be scared at telling them to get off the phone as THEY are doing the wrong thing and trying to kill us. WE need to voice our concerns and be heard.

I know it might be a bit hard at first, but like anything, you get better with practice!

The life you save may not only be your own! lets try and make a difference.

Tell us an example of your near miss with these phone fuggers to give the forum members some inspiration to tell them to "Get off the fuggen phone".

yep if you get just 1 of these dick heads to stop it will be worth while. It is a pet hate of mine as well.
Doesn't matter if I am in the car or on the bike I try to let them know what I think of it.

I often have the urge to reach into peoples cars grab their phone and hurl it across the road,
same with makeup , coffee and other shit people seem to fuck with while trying to drive.

Well said , theres two sets of "us and them" laws , it`s a two tierd system of double standards we now have and live by here in Australia , we see it everyday !
I just cancelled my mobile , absolutely hate the fuggers , they should be scrambled rendering them useless on entering any vehicle , i think NSW just made it law that they must be mounted if being used in a vehicle !
Funny that they can book ya for hanging shit from your cars revision mirror sighting a blindspot , but they other day i was behind an obvioulsy virtically challenged person barely able to see over the dash and they had what looked like a 7 inch GPS mounted smack in the middle of the screen just left of the sterring wheel and right of the revision mirror , makes you wonder if they even realise the possible disasterous remaforcations of their rediculous actions , let alone fiddling with the shit while they`re attempting to drive challanged as this one obviously was ?
Scary shit knowing riders are more vulnarable to cagers individual bad habits and actions !

    Nice one rodders !

It`s ok careyman , despite having his asian safety boots on , he does have his (modified rice bowl with visor attached) , skid lid stapped to his mellon and a booga finger stategically stuck to the brake lever , his flash scoot has a full stainless roll bar and front number plate just in case any pedestrian deathwish gets in his way ?
The mother in law is folded up safely in the topbox which is equiped with handheld rider/pillion sat/coms for all too use and be noticed but most importantly , his mirror is correctly adjusted in preperation for any anticapated nose picking right up to the second knuckle at the next traffic light ?
Besides the fact that he seems to be passing a cop and riding down the wrong side of a possible 6 lane road on his mobile , all`s good hey ?
Australia will be like this one day , having a Thai/Oz missus , visiting Bangkok and often rollin the dice in it`s woeful traffic , i dred the fact but can already see it begginning here , it won`t be too long , i actually feel that a one month taxpayer funded jaunt/stint in Bkk traffic should be compulsory as part of rider licencing program in Oz ?
I think in the background there is even evidence of a police car that has recently side swiped a safety conscious fluero vest wearing rider ?

What would Karl have to say about all of this...? Perhaps we should invite Karl to comment on these types of matters. Karl is an expert and we should respect him.

FLHuTChU , it may just help , and i also support the idea , though all the yellin` in the world , won`t change the direction that the world is now spinning ?
Something is very wrong in society and human nature , specifically those in governance and positions of authority ?
hey dangerousdave you obviously meant karl the ex`pert as in , "a drip under pressure" , right ?

Driving down the f3 last satdy A woman with 2 kids in a crumpledoor overtake me. I bib the horn as she passes, so she pulls in front of me in the 110 zone and then slows down in front of me. Now why did she make an already dangerous situation even more dangerous? I had to go around her as she slowed to 90. Try and work that one out.

but on the other side of the coin couple of weeks ago , i was stopped at the lights was talking on the hands free bluetooth thing,, not the phone, the handsfree, use it at work a lot cos my phone never stops ringing , (work related ), a driver pulls up next to me and shouts abuse , get of the facking phone to be excact .

I lost the plot was gonna belt the facker , but he fucked off quick after i ranted back at him , ( told him to shut the fuck up , ect ect )

What wound me up , he had a facking stubbie in his hand .

And you know i don't think drinking alchahol ,while driving is illigal , driving over the limit and under the influence is , but drinking i'm not too sure about

Handsfree bluetooth is still ok isn't it? I know the law is changing but does it affect/ include bluetooth gadgets.
I beleive it is illegal to have and drive with an open container containing alcohol in NSW. so No you cannot drink and drive in NSW Not sure on other states.
Charges can include reckless endangerment and Fail duty of care etc.

Maybe, but I've seen tooo many dumb cunts in Sydney trying to drive while on the phone.
Seriously, half the fuks cant drive well if they arn't on the phone.
"OOEE I hate peak hour Traffic." If you were a bit more efficent then maybe the traffic wouldnt be so bad.
Back to manuals only I say, way too many "Steerers" on the roads these days.

In QLD they have the hooning laws, 3 strikes and goodby car. i think they bought this in when street dragers were killing  there passangers and themself

I have found that it seems to be young girls on phone and drifting across lane,Actually been nudged in right leg on duel lane gold coast hwy.

As most of the phones are the newer more expensive samsungs,i phones  ect, I think, first offence, loose ya phone then and there for a month including the phones chip. Second offence, loose it permantly.Fineing them wont do shit, ,If they had phone taken off them, lesson learned very quickly.

A bit of good old fashioned tough justice is called for.

    Will67 , Now that`s fuggin talent !
A few years ago a mate litterally taking the piss early one morning , came cruisin past me down the putty on his roadie , in cruise , sitting on the pillion seat with his feet on the pillion boards , doing at least $1.40 , i actually had to look twice as we were on a bit of a slight sweeper at the time and i couldn`t believe what i was seein , later he said he was steerin with his arse by clenchin the relavent arse cheek
But in asian traffic , changin lanes and overtaking , kickin back texting like it`s no big deal , Woe !
All he needed was a pillow and a kool clensing ale !
Wonder if he`s still alive , though he didn`t seem to be too concerned about any potential hazzard at all , Wonders never seace ?
