First many thanks to ConR for putting up a vid/pics of his awesome conversion. Well done!
I am in the process of doing the top end on the Iron, was going with a D&D Bobcat originally, but then looked at Supertrapp and other 2-1 pipes. Came across this one that ConR put up in the Workshop section and it sounds awesome.
I emailed the company and got the following reply, so thought i'd put up here for others to read as it isn't on their website:

The Outlaw High 2-into-1 has a deep throaty roar 90-95 dbs! You are looking at about 8-12 horses with 10 lbs of torque. It is excellent pipe for modified v-twins due to our unique triple step headers and two step baffles for anti-reversion
end quote.
I've asked them for further info regarding linear power delivery, or if it's more bottom/middle.
So far it's looking and soundling like an awesome pipe.
I have also been keenly looking at the Samson Powerflow 3 2-into-1. According to the guys at Hammer Performance this pipe pulls really well. Only downside for me is that it seems to sit a little low on the side of the bike.
I'll be going with one of these 2 pipes I reckon.
Freedom's website for more info on this pipe is here and the Samson Powerflow (for comparison) is here.
Sweet!!
Cheers

Now, their Sharp Curve Radius pipes on the other hand...that's something I could see on my Iron. I might have to send them an email myself. I'd love a set of Bassani sweepers, but they're just WAAAAAAAAY too loud...sounds (pardon the pun) like these guys may have an option that gives an equivalent look but without risking undue attention from the wrong type of admirer.
EDIT: email sent, I'll post back with the details on these pipes as well when they get back to me.
Nice find.
90-95db surely that would have to be at idle? Nice 2-1 though & looks a bit tougher than the RSD Tracker.
I've looked at the Samson Powerflow 3 as well, the quiet baffle option is supposed to be quite effective, you're right though it does sort of hang there a little low.
Have you seen the Patriot Defender 2-1? Dunno much about them apart from they have adjustable valves for noise. They are on sale at the moment http://www.patriotpipes.com/models.html & here's one on an Iron 883 looks good in black http://xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/showpost.php?p=4187526&postcount=1623
Have you seen the new RSD Slant 2-1? Bloody expensive but cornering clearance looks ok, dunno how it performs though.
So Iron Eddie are you doin a big bore kit? Please do tell us your plans.
Cheers,
Slap.
Further to the first post about the Freedom pipe, I asked about finish/warranty, heat build up on the right leg and power delivery. Below is the response from the company's President. Their response was pretty quick and I guess a fair comment on heat build up. I also asked about the size of the O2 bungs, they are 18mm so will fit wide band sensors for more accurate tuning. On further reading all late model Sporty's have the 18mm bung so any pipe suitable for the late model Sportster should have the larger bung (not 12mm like prior models). It's a matter of personal taste, preference and use I guess as to which pipe to go for. For me I don't spend a lot of time in traffic, About 15 minutes getting out of the city then 20-25 minutes winding through the hills. I have mid mount controls, while i haven't used forward controls I imagine they'd sit your knees closer to the frame. I haven't yet decided which pipe i'll go for, but either has it's merits....

The Freedom Outlaw High 2-into-1 (heatshields included) is a performance/race pipe that does sit high on the right side of the bike closer to your right leg. Please take this in consideration this is not a long ride cruiser pipe. For cruiser pipes I recommend duals. The tuner you choose will dictate the power curve! The exhaust is just compatible/ready for optimal horsepower and torque.
We offer the pipes in finishes of Chrome or Ceramic Black. We distribute our products with Rollies Speed Shop in Brisbane. If you have a chipped piece please contact immediately! They will take care of warranty issue. Rollies can also supply Dyno numbers, but remember all numbers can change due to bike models, air-intakes, tuners, etc. Hope you choose Freedom Performance Exhaust 100% American Made.
@ConR,
Howdy, do you have your original 'ham can' air filter? I'm wondering if you could do me a favour and check if it would fit without fouling the Freedom pipe. On the Freedom website they show a small a/c, and on your bike you have a round jobbie that's a bit bigger. I'm going to be putting on the Hammer intake with the oval K&N filter, so i'm guessing (at this stage) the two would be around the same dimensions.
I'm pretty keen on the Outlaw but would like to know if the a/c will fit with this pipe.
