I have a 2011 Fatbob my forks make a noise (clunk) when compressed, especialy when cold. Is this a hnow problem?

it could be your neck bearings going...but its odd that they are giving up the ghost at such a early stage.

 the later dynas do let water into the top steering bearing if washed  too hard  would be best to check  them , as well as  fork oil ? front brake & axle etc 

Nah it's because your pipes aren't loud enough.
