Wrinkle Paint

    I've had some success with VHT.  It can be fiddly though, you need to have it not too thick, not too thin, just right !!

    VHT matches streetbob parts perfectly. Warm the parts up, paint and then bake in the oven as per instruction on tge can. You cant go wrong.

    Yeah...that VHT Wrinkle is bloody awesome. have used it on the centre console on my FXR and its perfect.

    Harley do the wrinkle paint as a genuine part it will cost you round $25 dollars a can

    ive used VHT too works well but on the pther hand have you asked your HD dealer they sell presure pack for all there motors I got 09 street bob motor silver to do my derby cover and my points cover .. J.D.

    Hi guys,
    Harley Davidson started using wrinkle black in the late 70s through to the mid late 90s, the use of VHT-SP201 will give excellent ,uniform tight wrinkle results if the job is clean ,warm ,fresh can of paint {also warm},and post curing in the sun or warming cabinet and painting of all parts involved at the same time steps are followed.
    In the late 90s Harley Davidson switched to a powder coat matt type texture finish that had no wrinkle forming in it, The product to use is H/D p/n 98606BF texture black, always use a fresh can of paint applied as per label instructions, the result will match as near as good as it gets to the original.
