G'day
Getting ready to make a deal on a new FXDB this week. Just wondering if it's worth fitting an oil cooler?. Do they really help keep oil temps down? Or only work if you live / ride in extremely hot conditions?
Thanks for any advice
Berms mate , I have the factory oil cooler on my 2008 Softail, as mentioned already I bought it ex-US when you could do that. Works well here in warm WA I have just "discovered" the older "slip-on" oil filter cooler/covers , and on another thread I've stated that they work just as well as my plumbed in kit. And at a FRACTION of the cost , unless you're getting it "in the deal".

fitted one to my street bob . mine dont look pritty but gets hot so must be cooling a bit .. J.D.
Mate its a bud oil cooler , cost around $690 USA . drops temp by 28 deg ruffly .
They shot at it with a shotgun , can jack the bike up on it .
