exactly   a lot of people presume out of the box and bolt on  and thats it and thay normally end up putting a cv back on cause thay cant get it right

the cv is a great carb and alot less forgiving   and people underestermate how good it is .not saying the mikuni are a bad thing just a pain to set up  .

So far so good, battery was cactus , is going to be a long day tuning this sucker. Feels snappy. Ordered a rebuild kit for the cv as well.

Am assuming a have blown a relay etc as no spark at the plugs. I will pull it down again and run all the checks in the manual. Am I right thinking that main relay could be shot as it turns over but no spark? Is pissing me off as I can't ride and is causing me extreme mental pain..know it's something simple but am over thinking it. I will get it running then send it off for a dyne run as baffles and gaskets came today. Just need spark fucker.

Cheers, relay came back ok. As I fitted new switches will recheck them all today and work back. I will fire it today..I have been up half the night running through diagrams and testing what I can, just hope is not the ignition module.

    Thanks again.

What voltage are you getting at the coils? Basically they should be at +12v all the time, while the ignition shirts hem to earth or open cct to fire th plugs.

Am starting to think my loom is knackered, I had rewired sections due to corrosion but it seems the deeper I go I have cracked wires and missing insulation. I ordered a spare on off eBay USA last night and is on its way. Also ditching cheap Chinese chrome switches and going back to stock. The last owner over many years added and chopped the loom beyond repair. I will finish testing all components during breaks in racing this weekend and replace what needs doing. I NEED to ride. Going mental. Thanks for your help.

I use heavy duty trailer wire as it comes in a loom of 7 to 9 wires.
