A beautiful Melbourne day, so I thought I'd go for a ride after work.  A crotch rocket pulls up next to me....rider in jeans and a t-shirt, his girlfriend riding pillion in shorts, a denim jacket and thongs....I am thinking he's a bit of a tosser and then he pulls off at pace, and pops a wheelie.   I am then riding behind him at about 50 - 60 km's on a suburban street, and he's popping the front wheel up again.  I can appreciate that he is a good rider...but really, what a wanker...or is it just me getting old ?

Right Tosser, and no your not old RockerStu, we'll say experienced in the ways shall we....

I ride both, given up the other and now ride my evo, gave up because young blokes and with that much power ,their brain wants to do wrong shit at a young age . most older blokes wanted speed and women, but our speed and theirs are world apart. Plus most have never seen what happens when it all goes shit up and skin grafts. And defaced pretty women.

I got 2 teenage girls. Young blokes have no idea, on anything.

Ride safe guys, will never wear that bright shit. Enough is enough government taking over.

Right this second one of daughter #1 gifted mates has got a car for the night as he be 15 and has mastered the art of drivennn has done a burnout in the driveway.. Am done soon with these people.  Gonna sit out side later and get some plates...I know it's wrong to dog in anyone..but I am lost for choices now..called parents, kids told em to pull up. They are going to kill some innocent kid.  I got pulled over with a perfect driving record for 15 years at least, even get discount reg because of it. Because my girlfriends car was 2 days out of rego. She was in hospital and last thing on our minds was remembering to pay the reg on this small Asian car. $704 and young scum in a stolen car  running local teen taxi. An done letting it slide, law can deal now..can use my $704 to imprison the useless .

Cockheads like that give us all a bad name! I am all for having fun, but that's pure clownery!!

Been riding with a few mates before between Wisemans and Peats Ridge.
Sitting on 90 odd when the Sports bike riders come riding thru, pulling in on us on Blind bends etc.
Riding like Wannabe Doohans.
I see in another post someone came across an accident on this stretch of road and a fatality.
I wonder.

I think I am too old, besides I have always said, if my front wheel aint on the ground, I am in trouble. I never learned how to ride a unicycle, mind you I have to say I do deep down inside admire those who can, but in the right places.

The way I see it is that I have approx 2 square inches of rubber keeping me stuck to the road. That aint much when you think about it.  Why on earth would I want to halve it!

I don't think it's you getting older, it's experience like allde said.

I'm 27 years old and when i'm out on the bike it seems like people on sport/pocket/crotch rockets just want speed.

I think most people get to a point in their lives and realise they dont need break neck speed to enjoy the ride.

Apart from and old guy in town who i see often wears thongs on his heritage softail... He gives that thing some stick.... haha.

I'm happy cruising on my 883. Then again, i am looking at doing a 1200 conversion.. the torque figures look tasty.. Just for the hills, you know..
