Okay guys, here is one for the record books! When I took possesion of my 2009 Flstc import  last Feb, I took it to the grunt factory at Yatala for a full service, including getting the air pressure in the tyres checked! The other day before going for a ride I went to check the air pressure & found that the air hose would not fit my valve stem, thinking this is odd I went to three other servos with the same results, what gives? I am fucking spewing, because if for some reason I loose air pressure due to a leaking valve or what ever, I am fucked! I should mention this problem with the valves is in both front & rear tyers!

Edit to add: Just measured it on my verniers, & it reads: Mine is 7.3mm & my sons bike is 6.4mm.

i would not use servo pumps unless i had too.

is the valve tube or tubeless? what seems to be problem? I'm thinking it's screwed in more? why not ride down the Grunt Factory ask what they think.

Mate, buy a approx, $12 right angle adaptor. Suites all rims and tyres. They are easy to use. Most motor cycle dealers/repairers have them.

I use the flexi hose (usually at safeway servos) and you just thread it from the middle of the wheel, down through the inside of the spokes.

A lot of servos had the adapters years ago - you just had to ask for them. Since our modern world is being steamlined I'm betting they don't have them anymore. I'd try a local bicycle shop, then ebay.

If you end up changing your valves, one of the options you have is to install a angled valve, makes inflating a breeze.

i've done it for years you just bend there gauge steel line  just before the end fitting  . stick it under  your boot & lever it up put's a nice curve in the steel tube so you can get it in there then it's right for the next rider, easy
