Anyone ordered anything from these guys in the US?  Three weeks after my order, three emails to them, and no responses at all.  They sure were quick to respond when they wanted  my cash though.

Yeah it is a shame. I should have done a big more research, as I just read some threads, and most people are saying that the service at Mototeks is shite, and that they quite frequently mess up orders. But then I look at his eBay store, and he's got 99% positive feedback, which is pretty damn high.

But damn, two years later and you're still dealing with Tanks? I at least paid through PayPal so I have protection...may have to raise a case soon.

Mototeks ended up getting back to me about an hour ago. Says there was some delay in getting my spokes powder coated. He didn't explain why he never responded to my previous 2 emails over the last week though.

Still though, honest businesses are becoming harder to find.

Good to hear man. There are a couple good ones over there still. M&M Cycles is good. DK Customs is also great, but doesn't really carry much stuff. I've pretty much exhausted the purchases I can make from them haha. I've also had good service from Lowbrow.

The stuff I've read about Mototeks is that they're as slow as fuck, however parts aren't bad! I looked at buying a set of wheels ages ago after following a thread on XLForum but ended up picking up a set locally and canned the idea. It will be fine, if it doesnt arrive in the designated time put in a dispute, paypal will freeze the cash from his account and then let it run its course. I have been fucked over a few times on eBay, however each time have been refunded accordingly with minimal fuss. Just follow the prompts and do what you need to do within the time frames and you'll be fine!

Yeah. After a promise to ship them this past Friday, two more emails, no response, and no shipment, I've opened a PayPal dispute. Let them dealer with this lazy arse fucker. His quality might be good, but his service is beyond shit.

And then all of a sudden the wheels show up at my door today. Haha. I give up.

It is sad how some sellers are not as good as they sound, as for feedback. I usually look at it this way, ANYTHING LESS than 99.7% has me looking at what items have been getting the worse feedback and see if there is a pattern, anything less than 99.5% I consider pretty risky, and anything less than 99.3, I don't even got there. Also another thing to look at is how much they have sold. a lot of scam-mers stuff up their name selling as seller A, in less than 500, then change to seller B so they can start ripping you off again, not much you can do about it, some of these people have more trading names than some small towns have residents, Unfortunately I have been bitten by those that have even ranked in the 99.6%, Most cases the bad seller will only move their arse when a dispute is filed, sometimes it is also a good idea to ask a question first, most of these *#!ts will not respond to any emails. If they don't answer then don't buy. That is my 2cents worth.
