    Hi there

I'm also a member of the LCOOL forum (Lancruiser Owners Online) and there's a neat thread that's been going on for quite some time called "So, What Did You Pay For Your Landcruiser?"
It's pretty helpful for first time buyers and also those that are upgrading. The Landcruiser thread is mainly for new vehicle buyers but there's no reason why here it couldn't be useful for secondhand buyers too.
It might just help us negotiate better deals if we're armed with recent prices of similar bikes. I saw a thread titled "Is This A Rip Off?" and this information would quickly expose genuine good opportunities and point out those deals that are "Just Too Good To Be True."

    • For new bikes maybe listing the Model, Price, Dealer and any extras that were included?
    • For used bikes maybe Model, year, Mileage, condition and extras?

Anyone else think this might be a winner?
(If this has already been done I apologise.)

$20,500 delivered to Adelaide for my Std 06 Softail Grey import. Purchased from Custom Gasoline, Parramatta Rd, about 20 mins walk from top of George Street. Approximately 7000 kms on the Odometer. No extras, not 100% sure if I paid more than it was worth, but no use crying over spilt milk now. All I can do is just enjoy cruising around on it on these beaut spring days.

2001 FLSTC paid $25000 in 2002 with 1500kliks on the clock, sold it to pay for useless solicitor for $20000 (I know why they call them solicitors)

1987 FXSTC paid $16500 in 2007 definitley paid too much but wouldnt sell it for gold.

1985 FLHTC paid $7000 in 2012, as above. Love the Evo's, they make me learn shit!

Maybe one day I will have made enough mistakes to buy a shovel.

Bought a 2011 Fatboy $32,000, got S and S slip ons and sissy bar at competitve price, teeshirt, an extra year HOG membership, 2000 reward points to spend at Harley shop (worth $100).  I did pay top dollar after much procrastination, but happy. Of course prices went down $4000, a few months later. A bit like the sharetrading I do - seem to buy at the peak, and generally if I sell, the prce then goes up.

I should have spent more time reading this forum and may had done something different, but after owning many motocross and enduro bikes, have always preferred new. You only live once.

As Iggy Pop says in one of his songs - I'm free to bore my well- bought friends and spend my cash until the end.

Bought my 2010 Fat Boy from Robbos in Canberra - $32000. Got a set of slipons thrown in - but took them off 4 weeks later and fitted the Big Radius.

Like others have said, I probably paid too much, but I wanted a specific bike in a specific colour, and well, paid for it. I have spent a fortune on it now, and continue to do so, but it's mine, so fuck it!! :)

     +1 Mongrel

I bought a custom softi (red) in 1984, Wish I kept it but in 08 I bought it again, Had to wait six months cause i wanted the two tone red again, For $ 31000, I wasnt gunna compromise on anything, Good salesman at sunshine coast as they had other colour custom softies on floor and not once tried to talk me into showroom bike. Didnt expect, but they said pick a helmut and t shirt off the floor, whatever you like,

$34,000 in 2010 for CVO fatboy with 4,000ks. Seems expensive now but it was before the new prices dropped with the US dollar. At the time that was the same as a new 2010 fatboy so it was a choice between a new one or a used CVO. Bad timing.
