Any one had issues with Metzler's been out of round. Got a new front tyre fitted the other week and the fucker is so bad that there is a bad head shake at 50kmh. I put the bike on the stand and spun the tyre and its way out. I'll try post a vid.

At least the shop that sold it is willing to replace, Very hapy about that.

    Regards

No test ride. I took the wheel to him. The shop has been really good and replacement offered without any concern. I was just wondering if I'm the only one or if there have been more wonky tyres out there.

Oh and before any one asks about either the bead or the rim thay are both very straight. Its just the outer edge that is out of wack.

    Regards

Was talking to tyre fitter at Ringwood Peter Stevens last month and he said when they get a batch of Metzelers in soon of them are made in Brazil and they have been having a few problems with them.

Used Metzlers all the time on my Heritage and got good milage out of them. Last one I used it wore badly and feathered. Only got about 6000klms out of it when I used to get around 20,000. Apparently they are now made in a different country and have now got various issues with the quality. I switched back to Avon and have had nil dramas.

    Thanks for the comments.

As I said I will get it replaced and hope for a better one second time around. I went with the ME880 after all the good reports here. I've had the back on for about 6 months and am very happy with it.

Just my shit luck I suppose.

    Thanks

Out of interest, is it made in Brazil or Germany ?
What is the manufacture date on the sidewall ?
I heard of issues a few years back with them, but mine have been good.
