TTS rocks I have had mine for years ( just retuned this week after finally getting my bike fixed after a bad CAM instal job) took next to no time at all ( I run a small EEEPC on the tank and watch it as I go, three runs today and its fine (I will do some more maybe next weekend and see how it goes - getting to sun burnt today).

Love the TTS with the new updates etc seems to be getting easier and easier, sound product and well worth the money, would recommend and buy again for my next ride.

Hey guys, downloaded, installed and updated the TTS software from their website. Following a guide from the american forum I plugged the interface into the USB port on my laptop then plugged the cable into the bike. Ran the 'HD06 Firmware Updater' and it came back with the following...

Thinking it might be a Windows 7 issue I tried on an XP laptop with the same result.

    Any ideas?

Updated software was released last night. This new update contains all the NEW Analog features and some of the necessary updates for the next generation of tuning that's coming.

    Shit eh, thanks heaps Hilly.

The guide I downloaded from the yank forum was titled 'TTS for dummies'. I was starting to think I'd need one for absolute retards. Wonder how much of the rest of the guide is relevant.

Guess I'll be playing with some tuning today. Doc reckons he has a map I can almost load straight in and then do half a dozen tunes. See how we go.

I read somewhere that a different dongle is on the way...Is this a marketing ploy to make us keep spending to keep up with the software???

Are there any reputable tuners in Sydney or Central NSW who tune using TTS?

Unless you have a screen mounted on your bike the vtune process is not easy!

Robbo's told me they can tune using the TTS on there dyno but recommended that they use your computer for the process...Where are you????
Kers out at Griffith also told me he can on his dyno but wanted the bike for a week or 2...

G'day Sparra. Thanks for that info. Robbos is close by but I didn't know they would tune via tts. Last time I asked (Colin) he said screamin eagle only. But if they're happy to tune tts with my laptop that would be good

I still read up on some of the other and older tts posts. Ozroder was a good source of info and a very helpful bloke (RIP Oz). He started up a repository for tts maps. It hasn't been added to for a while. So I went searching for other tts map repositories but there doesn't seem to be any on account of the tts mastertune website having a "repository".

So I went there to see what maps they had there for what combinations.
But it's no good for that. Just a heap of maps stored by vin and other random names.
A real repository has so much potential given how common the tts is and how many engine and modification combinations are out there - but it's disappointing that there's nothing available like this for sharing.

Steve, are there any plans to improve this? Could be similar to Facebook with "likes" and comments/reviews on different map types for different combinations

The repository is there but it is up to the customers to post there calibrations. We have had it there for over 4 years now and you can see there is very few considering. This is a free storage location for TTS calibrations and the original saved calibrations for anyone to use. As far as making a list of what they all are and sorting them out we would be willing if people really started to use it, but for now that just doesn't seem to be the case.

There is . and has been for a long time , a "Free TTS Download" menu on the Kuryakyn TTS webpage . Below is the link mate. I first posted this on the forum over 3 years ago , and have had great use of the cals developed by Kuryakyn. Mostly but not all for their builds of cams and pipes etc . Apologies if you knew of this already , it's NOT new mate.

Thanks for the reply Steve. I understand you can't make people upload or describe their calibrations but how good would it be if that happened.

Retroman, thanks I do remember using one of the kuryakyn maps a while back but as a base calibration I found the similar mastertune base calibration much smoother on my bike. I hadn't looked at their calibration files since but it's limited to mostly their parts and the common 103 and 96 stage 1 and 2 mods. I'm trying to look for a tts calibration that I thought might be common at least in the USA, for a 106ci with s&s 585 cams and stock or mild headwork. I'll try in the USA forums as people are bound to have something over there. Steve, would you have a calibration of this sort to start with?

I've not done much with S&S camshafts. Back in the beginning I did some testing with there cams and was not too impressed with there bolt in stuff. People then told me they had the same issues with the bolt in type camshafts but there bigger ones that require more compression seem to work nicely. So since most of our test bikes are stock engine sizes that was the reason why they did not preform well. The one camshaft from them that did well was the 551 in a 103 engine size, it ran nicely and I would compare it to a SE255 camshaft. As for the 510, 570 and 585 I was not impressed with how they worked at all in a 96 or 103 with no change to compression.

    Yes, but it TOP SECRET......................

You need to supply 12 vdc and ground to it just as the bike does when you turn the key on. :)

Now that you know erase this from your memory as it's TOP SECRET.

    A question for Steve Cole

(or Hilly , if you have progressed with this )

I was wondering about the possibility of hooking the VCI up to a 12v transformer to save a trip out to the garage

( when the bike is not inside :)  )

What is safe working range for amps ?

    Thanks

The Black module was last sold over 2 years ago and some of the parts that were used in it have been discontinued. Nothing we can do about that, so that has pretty much tied our hands as to being able to offer anything for them, Sorry but we supported them as long as we could. Harley's new bikes have gone to CAN and the Black interface will not work on those to start with. This started in 2012 model year on the Softail.

As for hooking to a 12 vdc supply just make sure it's a regulated supply not a unregulated 12 volt transformer! The unit draws about a 100 mili amps max so it doesn't take much
