Hi All.

Is there a cal. that I can use straight out of the Box without changing any of its parameters or do I have to use vtune.
The bike is a stock 2012 fatboy 103 with SE heavy breather and V&H bigshots staggered with quiet baffles. (it is the new blue TTS)
It will be the first time using it so just want to make it as easy as possible for me, or is there anyone in Sydney that can help, happy to pay for their time.

Mine is 2012/13 with stock pistons and cams, how will that effect the tune.

 

The Master Tune calibrations PDF file says 2006-2012 1690cc with air cleaner, breather kit and flat top pistons, while the file comments in the DAF cal, under file>edit file comments, says slip-fit mufflers. No mention of cams, so I assume the file is for stock cams. It's the closest configureration to your build without altering any of the tuning constances or tables.

Tuned the bike this morning with my new TTS mastertuner and used an off the shelf map from the Kury site, WOW what a difference, the bike has more power , runs cooler, no exhaust popping at all, I am over the moon happy with the result.

G'day guys, just bought my first efi bike and it has a TTS installed. Do I need to do anything to it or will it tune itself to my riding style?

Cheers guys. Yeah it is docs bike Hilly, I think I'll leave it for the moment, never played with efi before. Just between this and me old Dyna the differences are like chalk and cheese in regards to off the line get up & go. Just gotta get me head around how heavy this thing is and the larger engine. I will get it dyno'd one day.

Hey fella's ,the bike is not starting as good as it was so I tried to reinstall my last tune but came up with update tts firmware...How do I do this??? all my software is up to date...

Haa haa...I tried to get back and delete my question Hilly...I have sorted it I think...Yes I have the Blue dongle but didn't have the firmware part of mastertune in my new computer...

Not sure if it's a TTS question really but will start here. Since I've had the bike, 09 king classic, it has been a but rough when taking off from a stopped position. If I take off slowly it runs rough then clears up, same happens in second. Taking off when facing up hill yesty it almost stalled, I had to rev the fuck out of it, went back and tried it again with the same result like it's under severe load.

Any ideas?

Has the bike been modified or tuned?

Only had the bike since June or so but it has had a 103 kit put in, TTS Mastertune and has screaming eagle slip ons. I think it has been tuned as hilly said a few posts up it was pretty well tuned by the previous owner. Just when taking off slowly, if I hold the throttle in the same position it's sort of like it withholds a bit then clears itself and takes off.

Hey there DW...Has it only started doing it or has it done it since you have had it??? Did you get a copy of the tunes,v-tunes etc with the bike??? Hilly will probably know more mate but I would also post this in the yank forum...

Yep, done it since I had it mate. Haven't even plugged anything in yet. Got a USB dongle thing along with other assorted plugs. In all honesty I wouldn't know what to plug where.

Once she clears she goes quite well. Just that initial sluggishness.

Without some collected data from the bike as it is today all we can do is take an educated guess at what might be going on. I would start with using the software to clear the AFV's as Hilly said. If no change then next I would see if you could get the calibration that is currently in the bike so we can see about making some adjustments to it. My first guess would be to see about reducing teh AE fuel about 10% in the temperature area your having an issue with. If that makes no change then try another 10%.

Thanks guys, sounds like I've got a bit of self education to do in regards to the TTS set-up. I'm sure I'll be asking more questions at some point.

2014 have been release here state side. XL models got new ECM and code with CAN buss, Softail/Dyna stayed the same as 2013, Touring got new ECM and code with CAN buss. Vrod stayed the same as 2013. Time to get to work on the new code and get product updates ready for you all.

Got your pm thanks doc. Yep got the USB stick with the info on it, just have to educate myself on the tuning side of these tuners. Will drop you a pm soon, cheers.
