Handle grip glue...

    Hi all...I just put some new bars on my bike and re used the old grips.The left grip needs to be glued back on becausen its loose.

    What is the appropriate glue to use to re glue the grip back on ????????

    Hair Spray!! Nice!!

    I have Glue-Less grips - sorry. :(

     Tarzans Grip works well too. Put a bit in the grip and smear it around with a small dowell or a pencil. None on the bar. Then just push the grip up all the way home. leave overnight. Walla.

    Motor Head is right, hairspray works great

    Havnt done that though for 25 years

    Hi all...The hairspray never worked,didnt even look like working.Could be brand specific.LOL.

     Make sure the bars & grips are clean (metho, without the orange juice) and it should work. I've used this trick since the 70's

    I tried the hairspray with my new ISO grips, but they came loose after about 2 days riding. I removed, cleaned and roughed up the area slightly with wet and dry, used a couple of drips of Loctite 406 prismatic glue, not worries at all since. Same as the old 'super glue' but a much better and plastic/rubber friendly glue.

    If hair spray doesn't work, try using hair gel or moose

    i use contact adhesive (spray glue) works great for me, i usually clean the grips and handle bar with brake clean first.
