I think mine were 12" standard length , went 12.5" .H/ duty spring is for 250lb min weight , I,m 230lb and do a lot of two up riding . Thought the heavier spring would be better , but I,ve got hardly any pre load to set as 1" sag for me only on bike . Stock spring would be more in the middle range . The shocks transformed the bike . Before fucking off the stock ones ,it would bottom out something awful , and I,d have to slow right down going over train tracks etc .

    G'day linmac

Why are 13" better? The bob looks too high now. I was thinking 11.5".

From what I've read the ride quality is better more travel in the shock less bottoming out plus your not scraping your pipes as much

yes they look good low but I'd rather a comfortable ride than looks

Got my Suspension sorted out today thought I'd do it right the first time and took my bike out to Ian Whiteman ( Pro Moto Suspension ;) today he went over it gave me some options on a custom set up forks gold valves new springs to suit my weight drill our some rod in the fork tube for a smoother action custom shocks on the back again made to suit me real happy a better option I think nice bloke as well

I have just Put Progressive springs up front with a Screaming Eagle Forkbrace, Progressive 430's on rear.

Rode to Gold Coast and back, big difference but my old shocks were well worn so not a great comparison.

Really enjoy the ride and cornering now and only had a couple of Pacific Highway Sinkholes cause any real grief.

Probably run the rears a bit firmer as on softest setting at the moment.
