Chasing the dimensions of a badlander for a dyna? Measurements from underneath; distance from back of the front bracket (where it hooks into frame) to the screw hole. Distance across the width of the seat (underneath) from between the 2 stitched seams.

Hi Tequila, trying to identify the seat I have, thought it was sportster, but its not. Its HD Badlander, need to compare measurement of seat base to be sure of fitment

 Not sure if this helps you mate. This is a HD Badlander (aka fuck me arse hurts after 20 minutes in the saddle) off my 2000 Super Glide. Couldn't find a part number on the seat.

Measured from front of tongue where connects to frame to centre of hole. 685mm.

 Measured seam to seam across the width.

 

Thanks Deadwood thats exactly what I needed to see, I think this seat must be Roadking then? Its 750mm from front to back and 340mm across the seams. Thanks for taking the time mate, Owe ya.

With those dimensions you mention it could also be 2006 up Dyna Badlander seat. The newer Dyna seats aren't that much bigger but they are different to earlier Dyna's. I think it goes 99-03, 04-05 and 06 & up.

Only reason I know is I bought what I thought was a used Sundowner seat off eBay through Coffs Harbour Harley (forget their name) and they stuffed up the eBay listing saying it was for 99 to 03 Dyna's when it arrived it wouldn't fit. After checking the part no they said it was for 2006 up Dyna's. They were then good enough to buy me a brand new one and pay for the shipping back to Coffs and send the new one out.
