Just added a couple of bits to my Deluxe that some of you may find usefull to knoiw about

First up is the Vented Windscreen. This works on a quick release system so you can change the look of the bike in a few seconds. I'm just a fraction under 6'0 and my eyes sit just over the edge if I sit up straight and just below if i slouch. Cover is great and that make for really relaxed riding at high speed or long rides as your hands don't get tired "hanging on". The cool thing about this screen is it has vents on the side that direct air on the rider in high heat. The screen is large and it can get hot behind there! The vents work a treat and you can adjust how much air is blown on you. With the screen being large it allows you to ride with just sunglasses without the tears even at high speed. There is some mild buffeting on th top of your helmet but nothing bad. I give it a big thumbs up

The second item is a set of S&S performance slip ons. The ones I bought are the tapered type. The original heat shields fit perfecly over them. They are at any distance almost impossible to tell them from the original units....except when you start the bike. They sound awesome! A really nice deep rumble at idle, great sound at cruising speeds without that ear splitting crack of setups live V&H Big Radius. The reason I got these was two fold. The first was I wanted something that sounded like a proper Harley, not the strangled wheez that comes standard. The second was I wanted the bike to look as original possible that way I maintain it;s good looks and the Gestapo won't be drawn to me because of fancy looking pipes. I put on a stage one air filter, and had the bike dyno tuned. Goes great, sounds tough and won't give the local community the shits

I have included some pics ffor you look at.

If my memory serves me right I paid about $450. It's in the 2012 parts book and it says it's for a deluxe but I would say it would easily fit heaps of bikes. Sparra, the bars are stock, I like the feel of them. All I've done is chrome everything on them. Bloody chrome is costing me a fortune!

I'll second the S&S tapered slip ons. I have them on my bike and they look great, sound great and i feel the bike has more get up & go with them.
