So i changed over one of the standard clamps on my new detachable sideplates from harley and went to press the lock to test it out
I stopped....and thunk a good one.... how the hell is the tool going to get behind there to unlock it??
answer... it doesnt
am i missing something?? it seems a simple enough operation...all the gear is from harley and is supposed to fit... do i need to bend the friggin sideplates to have it on the outside?
let me know anyway please
Are they around the wrong way ? Not inside/outside but left and right ?
Went and looked at my standard detachable mounts , they look just like your photos .
the detachables fit perfectly in the same possie as the lock type, the only problem is the access to the key hole for the lock
i took the lock off and put the orig one back on, I dont want to risk locking it and having the pain in arse next time i want to remove it
Here ya go mate
there different, (mines on a sporty 53913-04) yours have a cutout for access maybe a dyna? doesnt help unfortunately... thx anyway bro
geeze alot peeps get double posts
Here is another one same part number but they look diferent, could these work?
yea they look like they might, they have the same notch as on the ones i showed , was trying to get out of spending another 100+bucks and having a set sitting in my shed that i paid 150+ bucks for that I cant use... are these new? funny harley didnt say anything about them...
EDIT, i think these could be different to one ones inside the box.... note it says " dyna model shown"
