    Hi all,

Just a hello for now as am seeking advice on my next bike.

Having had a few bikes from Japan both off & on road variants, its now time to get comfy (as i have just found out) on a Harley.

Rode my first Harley a week or so ago, was an Iron 883, I am not a really tall guy & this was a damn comfy bike to ride & is a lovely looking bike also. (also loved the XL1200C Sportster (really do love the 110th Anniversary Model) but budget at the moment i dont think will stretch that far).

So Iron883 it will most likely be.

    Cheers all.

     Heya Fe,

I'm on an 883 now, and loving it. Heavier than my old Jap bike, but a different riding experience is a  good way to learn something new, and what's not to love about a new way to ride.

The great thing about the xl883n is that you can get one on a budget, then begin to customise slowly if your money is tight. If you have plenty of dough, then get a larger bike and all of the trimmings too.

I personally like having gotten the little brother to the larger bikes, as it was good for me to adjust to the heavier bike that way.

Welcome to the forum, and good luck in your choice.

This is what mine...used to look like. Old pic, pretty different now though

Firstly welcome, when considering the 883, the Iron looks great, but forget trading up to a bigger bike as they will give you F.All for it...test ride the 1200 first, the extra power is awesome and will serve you better when customising, it is worth stretching the budger for the extra fun of accelloration...it's addictive and the power to weight ratio of the 1200's is goooood

PS: you get FA tradein on 1200's too....but if you buy any bike thinking about how much trade value is...stick with pushbikes, Ha ha ha

New to the HD family too , and yup straight onto a 883 iron , I tossed and turned about buying one but best bike ive had in years , yeah the catalogue has become my friend too , don't listen to what everyone says , judge for yourself I'm sure once you start customising it to your taste and people stop and check you bike out you'll know you've made the right decision, I'm in Sydney at the moment but looking at moving to Melbourne 2013 so may see you cruising soon , enjoy

Welcome, I am a vertically challenged guy myself and bought my first Harley 2 months ago- custom 1200c and already thinking of a bigger bike! You get used to them very quickly as they are so awesomingly easy to ride!
