Hi guys,
I've returned to the Harley fold after many long years on Triumphs, 17 years on a Harris Bonnie (that was interesting in all sorts of ways), then 8 years on a Thruxton (great reliability, cool look but under powered and too, don't how to describe it other than "bland" which sounds way too harsh). Had a SuperGlide I got new back in '84 that went to my brother and he still has it.
Now have a 2012 Superglide Custom and am loving being able to feel that motor do its thing. The Thruxton was just too smooth and a bit nervous in the front end for me to feel like it was a keeper - although 8 years ain't a short relationship.
The SG is great but the jolts through the seat that go all the way up my spine every now and then make things "interesting".
Have done a bit of customising with LED smoked lense rear light, smoked indicator lenses, Kuryarkyn pegs, S&S slipons, SE breater and tuner and that might be it for a while.
Cheers
Nang
