Just joined today after riding my first Harley davidson having rode sports  bikes for the past 16 years, rode a softail slim and really enjoyed the cruiser feel after years of 100 kgs leaning on my wrists and elbows

hoping to buy a softail slim real soon and join a HOG group to enjoy some Sunday cruises

Only been in oz for 2 years from the uk and wifey is not keen on the idea of me having another bike  I gave up thrashing around on sports bikes and I've done the isle of Mann tt a few times over the years .i have now decided life without a bike is not life so a compromise is a Harley so at least ill enjoy riding at a cruise pace  . Her in doors is still not convinced  but hey ho one life live it ...

Hi Gidgi no offence meant by the compromise harley part  I love the Harley Davidson culture and with the weather in the uk you just wouldn't want to put a harley out in the wet weather. The compromise for my wife would be I wouldn't be riding a bike where you're always throttle wide open and knee down and travelling faster than my reaction time as I'm not getting any younger

    thanks for the welcomes guys

     Hey Perth crew,

Perth VROD riders got a ride organised last weekend. Over 22 bikes and a great day out to a bush pub for lunch. Awesome sound of 22 rods cruising out to Boddington and the Quinny pub.

I will post a ride in the ride section soon so let's get a crew organised. All newbies and others welcome.

Watch the WA ride section for notification.

welcome to the forums, already been beaten to that little compromise comment :)

Im sure you already know once you ride its not a compromise, but its all good not taking the piss  Lots of good riding here some nce and not so nice roads. Im sure you will have alot of fun. The hog groups do open days and rides if thats the way you want to go just talk to ya local dealer and they can point you to the local hog chapter
