Hi, is anyone running andrews 37h cams or screamin eagle 254e cams in a 2009 streetbob? I have V&H pipes PC5 and screamin eagle filter. i have been looking at the J&P cycles site for the andrews cams and adjustable pushrods, Has anyone purchased from these guys before? cant decide whether to go andrews or the SE 254e cams.

What riding style are you looking for? When do you want the cam to come on (in the RPM range) That will determine your cam choice. For me it was low - down between 2500 and 5000rpm. So I went with the Andrews 57h and love em!!

    Hi Mongrel,

I am looking for some good low down torque between 2000-5000 rpm. i dont want anything that is going to make it slugish off the line, so .510 lift is what i have been told is the go from S&S and Andrews but the SE 254e is supposed to be a "good allround" cam and it has .535 lift i beleave. I can't even find any liturature on the 57h from andrews? is it compatable with stock heads and valve springs and 96 cube engine?

Yep! The Andrews 57h is new for 2012. Send the guys at Andrews an email and ask for some info.

They work in stock 96 (mine is 96) and I have done nothing other than air, pipes and a tune - plus the cams now) Stock springs etc. I changed out the push rods for SnS adjustables, but that's it. I love how the bike goes now man - Right where I want it. :)

     Berms,

Not sure mate.  I never get anywhere near the rev limiter.  I can't see why I need to.  If I can hit a 100 in 3rd, there really is no reason to hit the limiter.  Why not just change gear?  If you are hitting the limiter in 5th or 6th, I hope you are hanging on!!

Hi Mongrel, are you still running the stock starter ? i emailed Andrews abouit the 57H and yep your right the 57H is fine for 96 inch and stock heads. i see S&S have the easy start cams when the lift is more than .510 but Andrews does'nt. Does yours start ok or does it drain batteries quickly?
