The Thundermax are a fair bit pricey though. Are they really worth the $900+ quoted to me by Josh from Rollie's? I am in the process of ordering a heap of Kuryakyn parts from them, and was made aware of Thundermax, after enquiring whether they stocked TTS Mastertune. Unfortunately they don't stock TTS, but Josh swore by the Thundermax auto tuner, I was told they are very popular.  Is it justifiable for their price, and does anyone else here actually use one themselves?  Some feedback would be great.  If I was to purchase 1, where is the best Place to weld in the O2 bungs in the exhaust? Cheers.

You could try www.mandmcycles.com in the US, they are sensational for prices and will quote door to door, I purchased muffs from them and they took only 5 days and saved me $400.00,,,well worth a look

Well I've finally bitten the bullet, I'm going to buy the Thundermax for my Softail, along with a heap of Kuryakyn goodies. Keep a lookout for some pics to follow.

To cut a long story short, Josh from Rollie's has a few contacts down here in Adelaide who deal with them for parts etc fairly often, so I'm purchasing all my bits and pieces through a local shop, who will be ordering the parts through Rollie's.

The thundermax will be installed and tuned by them out of courtesy, plus they know what they are doing because my header pipes need a couple weld in ports for the O2 sensors, from what I have been told, these have to be in the exact same position on both pipes, so it's not so simple as if I had later model pipes which already have these fitted. While the bike is there, I will be having the headstem bearings checked/adjusted, or possibly replaced.

Imagine if you were an owner of a shop and some mug rocks up on his ride and expects you to install their you bute whiz bang contraption, even though they have never bought anything or done any business with you in the past, how would you feel? If it were me I wouldn't be too happy about it, and may just charge that little extra for doing the work.

Anyhow, I'm hanging out for my bike to be running sweet as, with no tuning issues.

Note that the pipes which you see in my avatar, are not the current ones fitted.
