got to agree percy.
whilst we dont actually ride as a club and therefore have no rules to abide by, drawing unwanted attention to the group we may be riding with just adds to the chances of being discriminated against by the law. and who would blame them. ive been on a couple of organised rides within the forum and each time theres been at least one who cant show self restraint in the interest of having a decent ride and getting home without being hassled by the law. i know i dont need the extra attention thats for sure.
my response is to not ride with the forum. like you say, just takes one to fuck it up for the rest. im not advercating to change forum policy or introduce rules. each to their own. its just not in my best interest to ride with a group where theres added risk of being pinged by the law.
cheers.
Anything happening tonight ?
Dam and for a while i thought maybe i'd go to the night market have a feed and check out the stalls and girls of course and then go home the long way
But it seems that they dont want to cater for the motorcycle riders just the yuppies and late drinking crowd ( Ohh i do like late's tho)
So if we vote with our cash I'm for it ..
the same thing happened to the Blackwood pub years ago when the new publican decided that the dirtbikers and roadies were not welcome at the pub
We the dirtriders and some road riders made an issue of going to blackwood and buying all the food from across the road in the general store
The publican only lasted 16 months and now the pub welccomes riders ...
so who's up for for a ride then...?
wow that sounds like a bloody good ride the Pig & Wistle is a bloody good spot .. for aquick feed..
So when are we doing this ride
Count me in the good sunny days are here soon !
That sounds like a great ride would be great to meet you guys
Contacted the market last week to enquire about the exclusion of bikes. The got back to me and said the market had expanded quite a bit and the bike parking area was now being used.
I went along Wednesday night with a few mates and we were ditrected to park our bikes in a laneway parallel to Victoria St. (About 50 metres from where I parked last year)
A good night.
One dickhead parked his car there but that was it. To be fair, it was out of the way.
There were probably 15-20 bikes. Plenty out on the footpath as well. A good night. Plenty of different cultures and no shortage of glamours on display.
