G'day all, I've got myself a 2010 wideglide but have been riding for years before.

This is my first harley tho'. I have to confess that it's only just begun to grow on me, especially since the fact that I havent lost my license or even any points in the last 2 years. I'm now at the stage of my harley owning life where I'm looking for ways to customise it. I do have the V&H 2-into-2 black bendy exhaust system that I stuck on myself. That was a pain in the arse. But i've been searching high and low for anyone who has modified the bike by cutting off the subframe and reattaching the back fender onto the swingarm. Maybe keeping only enough of the subframe to enable the attachment of a pillion seat, kinda thing. Does anyone know anywhere that has done this? I'm not even sure what it'd look like, but I reckon having the fender hug the back wheel would look a hell of a lot better than the butt-ugly set up that it is now. No offense there.

Bit of help would be nice if anyone has any ideas. Or people to ride with anyways. Maybe I should join HOG as all my biker mates here in Brisvagas have sporty bikes, I'm the one holding them back dammit. And I taught them to ride, how does that work...?

No pictures yet as I'm very new to forums...

Ive got the same bike and I agree with your comments about the rear guard, but cutting the subframe and reattaching seems a little extreme ? Next mod I'm doing to mine is Progressive 412 lowered shocks and solo springer seat. This should drop the ass about 1 and half inches and make it look alot better.I also hate there rear tail light but haven't found a suitable replacement yet.
