Most people use a tuning system. The XIED's ar a simple electrical plug for the Narrow Band sensors, they alter the electrical signal from the Sensor to the ECU to rich-en up the fuel mixture. That is all they do, and it is restricted in it's capability. If you want to tune your bike properly then you need an after market tuning module. Or have your bike Dyno Tuned by a specialist tuning company. If you only do a Stage 1 then they may suit you, but if you start to add cams, big bore kits then they are a waste of money.

mate, they work well for what they claim.

The stock calibrations in your ECM are all Pollution controlled by law

These IED's neatly bypass that in a simple plug and play manner,

I still think they're the best bang for the bucks spent

If you haven't already then go to the nightrider website and have a read

    i think they are good, i haveX14ieds, screaming eagle mufflers and aS&S stealth air cleaner and my spark plugs are a nice shade of grey, (not too lean, nor rich) small outlay for it (((-;

    hi,

I purchsed the xieds from ebay, brand new out of Texas $117 landed in post box. They are tiny and just plug in and off you go.

Done 400km on sunday, bike only has cycle shack slip ons (2.5's), dont get much popping but I know I have a small leak as I can see black staining on the slip ons where they join the main pipe

Not sure about fuel usage as I do most riding on the freeway but what I did notice at slower speeds is it felt more smooth, not as jumpy, my plugs were okay previously and will do another 1000km and check them

    thanks

put them on mine first up while I was waiting for tuner and dyno they did seem to make a difference. Took them off for the dyno tune. Much improved all across the range with the full tune.

Hi, for those that are interested I have just fitted these (XIEDs) to my 09 Fatty. The bike seemed to be running hot & then I modified the stock mufflers to get a bit more noise & got a bit of decel popping. I’m not likely to do any more mods in the near future so they seemed to be what I need. Since fitting them I have done 1000ks, the bike is definitely running cooler (riding in 34c weather), the decel popping has gone & low throttle (e.g Roundabouts, u-turns, parking lots etc) is much smoother. Petrol consumption has increase slightly @ .4l per 100ks. I’m pretty happy.

I've just recieved from Florida a set of FL103 Xied's for a mates 2013 Roadking

Also a set of 110 inch CVO stock US spec 4 inch mufflers and a K&N air filter kit

They have all been fitted up to his bike and last weekend he reported a  "much smoother ride around town " , much more

" responsive" ( again his own words !)  Fuel consumption comparison still to come but it's not any worse he says.

He won't change no cams not no-how ! He's 71 and says " the bike cracks $1.60 way too easily now ! "

    In short , he's " delighted "

If that's all you want to do then as I have always said they are the " best bang for the buck  " bar none .

That and I'm a confirmed TTS user myself !!

I installed my XIED last night on my Iron, with short shots and rough crafts a/c.

Works great, no more loud decel popping or crackle. Seems to be more smooth through the gears and I can't put my finger on it but just overall sounds better !!

    Highly recommended.

Have a low use set for sale for $50 from a 2008 Softy, think it should fit most 07 and up bikes with O2 sensors and Delphi injection system. Same comments as everyone above as to how they perform, nicer to ride, smoother, cooler running as it tricks the ECM into thinking it's running too lean so it richens the mixture a bit, bit more power. Unfortunately started spending and swapping on other parts so had to upgrade O2 sensors and computer and don't need them anymore.

Fitted the Xieds to my 2012 RoadKing with V&H Monster Ovals no other mods. I notice a much smoother roll on and perhaps a bit more power and the temp seems cooler to boot which is what I was after as heading off for a bit of a ride to perth and back at the end of the month. Twas money well spent so I am happy....

     Hi,

I done a few thousand km's with the xieds on and wouldn't have a clue if they doing anything!

Only have slip on's, waiting to get a hi flow AC, is that the missing link?

    thanks
