2012 Roadking finished my Melb - Perth - Melb trip with the xieds fitted clocked up 8200klms and pretty confident they are riching up the mix judging by the end of my pipes, my fuel consumption obviously took a hit but overall happy with the fact that she wasnt running lean in the high 42deg heat days

    Hi Beagle,

The answer to the fuel consumption is probably about right, I reckon around the 20 - 30klm a tank less but ..... I noticed that the trip estimator was up and down during the trip to perth and back, and the further I got from Melbourne the less I was getting per tank until it seemed to stay around the 360klm per tank but that too would depend on "brand" with BP seeming to be the worst which was pretty weird, but on the return trip it reversed ie: the closer I got to melbourne the fuel estimator started going back up again???  as by the time I hit horsham for a fill I was back up to 400- 410klm per tank and it seems to now stay around that mark now.

As an aside I have now ordered a SE stage one air cleaner kit and I am going to see how that effects fuel economy. But I am happy with the niterider solution to cooling my engine and riching up the mix eh.

Have a look at the Nightrider site. It list them there.

At around $120 it seems like a good interim whilst deciding if I want to go the full tuner road for $500+++

Hi guys ... got my XIED`s from East Coast Custom for $ 113 ... fitted them couple of days ago and definitly seem to make whole riding expierence much more enjoyable .

The blurb states they change the Air / Fuel ratio from the standard 14.6 to 1 to a more richer mixture of 13.9 and in some cases 13.7 to 1 .... how do they measure the Air / fuel ratio is something i`m courious about and what type of ratio would be gained .. in general terms .. if one was to go the tuner route bearing in mind i would still only have the stage 1 changes .

I realise Cams and other engine mods would need the tuner path but was just courious as to how much difference was to be gained ... Thanks ... Tim .
