After a 1500km week-end ride , 300km in wet conditions , bike was filthy with road grime .  Used Inox spray ( CRC WD40 type stuff , but heaps better ) to clean the dirty water stain from motor for a grear result , come up like new .

Yep, inox to clean the motor, wip eoff residue. Then when the motor is dry (and cold), S100 Enginer Brightener. My softail is 16 years old and the black on the engine looks like new.

I take it this isn't the inox you put into batteries, but some kind of cleaning product of the same brand name?

Washed off most grime with the hose . Then car wash in a bucket of water and a sponge . Rinse thoroughly with a hose and let dry completely . Then Inox spray the entire motor . I let that dry for a day before I rode it .Smokes a bit when it gets hot ! , but the result is showroom clean .

Hey guys , great thread ... have a mate who just got himself a 2004 SuperGlide with the cast alloy primary cover and has a couple of small oil stains from a previous leak ... will the Ixon get that type of stain out ya reckon or would it be a case of removing and bead blasting .
