Alarm keeps going off - HELP!

     Hi  all,

Tonight i took my bike to a friend's house to show him.

He sits on the bike, and the Alarm primes, them winds up into full tilt.

I called Harley city, and the guy says, I'm going home - change the battery in the fob. I managed to find a battery locally and change it.

Bike still doesn't like it. Won't start. The only thing that starts is the damn alarm. I've had to leave the bike at his place. The alarm just keeps starting up, when I try to start the bike.

Possible thing's i need to try:

-Another battery, in case the one i bought was a dud too.

-leaving the fob on the seat for a while to get the bike to recognise it, and sort its shit out

    Any ideas anyone?

Fob might be damaged. Use spare if you have one.
Bike battery might be flat (alarm thinks its disconnected from power source so uses backup)

    Try entering the PIN.

YEP! This is the time you want a PIN on your bike. If you don't know it, then go back to the dealer that sold it to you. It will save your arse big time - Especially if you are 200km from home and lose your Fob!!

    Thanks guys.
I managed to turn the alarm off with the code, but now cant seem to get the bike started without it going off.
I have no spare fob, and need to get the bike to a dealer to get another fob. I might need to trailer it there :(

long shot, but something might be interfering.

Wheel the bike out to the road and then try to start

    SOLVED!
AS it turns out, we replaced the battery in the fob with the same that was in there before - a 2025 3V Lithium manganese battery - The Wrong type of battery!

The guy at HH said that they get very sensitive to voltage. If they dip under 3V then they'll let loose with the alarm.

I have replaced it with a 2032 battery - all fine now. Started and runs like a dream again.
    Thanks all for your input.

Well it had to be one battery or the other. It's not like there's any wire or electronical stuff involved.
