I meant to put this up last week and forgot but I was riding and the weather was getting colder, it started to drizzle a little later but when it started getting cold I noticed on the inside of my speedo there was some moisture building up around teh edges of the glass, it just made the edges look a bit foggy and beaded up a bit. needless to say i was concerned. I just wanna know, is this a common problem? and how have others fixed it

    Cheers

Yes very very common, I'd like a dollar for every Harley ivĂ© seen with a foggy speedo. When i had my 07 fatty, that did it and it was changed under warranty, also my 09 muscle did it too but not as bad and i didn't worry about it. I have also heard that it is under the dealers discression to replace it whilst under warranty so good luck with it.

Yep - Do that! Harley know about it and acknowledge it.

I bought their Digital speedo and it fogged up. The refunded my coin and I bough their new Speedo/Tach combo, and so far so good.

Don't take NO for an answer!!

Maybe they should go the way of an oil filled job to stop the condensation, but then the needle would be slow to react due to the viscosity. I know, fuck off needles all together and have only waterproof digital units with big numbers for us old folk to see......Orange of course for me.

Yeah I've asked about getting a digital speedo and my HD guy said he'd find out if one fits my bike. He's pretty good, I cant see any issues with them replacing it.
