Progressive fork spring install

    Hi all

Posted this under Dynas but got no response

Installed progressive 11-1525 fork springs in the 2010 FXDWG. Followed their instruction sheet with oil level but found the supplied spacer gave me no preload at all, about 3/4" under the top of fork tube. Progressive tech help suggested using a longer spacer so that it protrudes at least 1/2" above the fork tube giving it 1 1/4" preload. Stock spacer is 4.63", used some pressure PVC tubing cut to 5.85". All seems ok. Anyone got any comments with similar experience?

After all this the bike seemed lower than before so I measured the sag. After measuring the fully extended length of the fork and deducting the average difference with me seated on it the sag is 46mm or 1 ¾ inch.
I have increased the spacer length by another ½ inch so it protrudes 1 inch above the fork tube to achieve a sag of 30 mm or 1 ¼ inch. The spacer is now 6 3/8 inches long.
Anyone with suspension experience know if this is OK
