Because my bike is an import it still has a carbon cannister on it...Wondering if anyone knows if I can just disconnect it,plug of the tank and backplate lines and remove it...

Yep just done this on a CA inport.The thicker hose on the right side of the cannister is the vent and just tucks under the tank,one of the thinner hoses on the left
hand side of cannister goes to the throttle body just behind the a/c.Remove that and cap the spike on the throtle body where it came from.the last hose from the left side
of cannister comes from the tank,disconect it at the cannister and leave it there.this hose is now the vent hose.I jioned a piece of the hose I removed earlier to it and ran
it under the frame to tidy it up.DON"T block off the hose from the tank...
