Front Brake switch on 77 FLH

I am chasing the cause of no (front) brake light on my 77 FLH and I have come across the two wires in the handle bar that have been cut off alongside where they would usually connect to the brake light switch in the housing next to the front brake fluid reservoir.  But I dont see any sign of a switch or where these wires might connect.  I have attached a photo of the inside of the brake lever housing.  Maybe it's a different model brake lever and housing that has been fitted and it doesn't accommodate a switch.  I'd appreciate any advice as to what my options are.  Does anybody know if this is the original style lever and housing and can I fit a switch to it.

    Thanks.

there is a small threaded hole in the top left corner that's were the little front brake light switch goes  2 small female terminals  go on the wire end's , switch's are still aval either original or aftermarket, original 's are better they still have them i brought 1 last week, in stock , all the same  models sporty /shovels from 1972/3 to 1982 , no worries, ,     on my own i don't run 1 as the rear brake switch is enough that way i can slow the bike down  with-out telling anybody else, if you know what i mean

Thanks for that, does anybody have a picture of one in place because my workshop manual isnt much help.  I've seen the switches advertised for sale but they look like a straight unit and I can't see how the spring or the lever activates the switch.

Ok I think I just worked that one out, the switch looks like it has a spring loaded top end that rests against the lever and extends when the lever is pulled.  Yep that makes sense.

    Thanks for your help.
