Move the speedo to the handlebars

    It's just an idea at the moment but has anyone moved their instruments from the tank position to the handlebar?  Or would anyone be able to throw any light on how to do it?

    I am guessing it is possible - anything is possible with enough effort, but my biggest concern is what to do with the big hole that would be left on my tank.

    Suggestions?

    If you've got a dyna of some description you should be able to swap the bits from an FXD model that had the instruments on the bars already. 
     
    You can see the guages in the photo below, there is a black cover thingy where the instrument goes that covers the holes you mentioned in the tank.
     
    I'm not sure why you'd want to do it, I reckon it looks better the other way but if you are going to then this is probably the simplest...

     If you had a Dyna Superglide you'd probably want to do the opposite. I did it on my Superglide. Doesn't look "factory" but it looks a lot cleaner than before.

     

    Belive me bud, the instruments on the tank give you the cleanest look; I'd leave it as it is.
