Had a beard for over 30 years it's now gray instead of black it's a goatie at times I grow a full beard but not for a while now, I carry a bit of weight so I have one to many chins not a good look, hell it wouldn't be me without my beard and tatts, as for looking tuff to fucken old for that shit these days only need to stub my toe and I need to go to a hospital lol.

if the Vic gumby and the Police get their way you wont be allowed to have a beard soon enough. It'll be smooth as a babies ass to go along with the yellow fluoro hi-vis jacket and throw in the front number plate as well.

Most of the year clean shaven, when i go on the week long sothern cross poker run i grow a goatee. To fit in and match all the other old farts.

I grew mine by default maybe three years ago when I was bed ridden for a coupla weeks. I've got the full beard and I prefer the Viking/Ned Kelly length but I work in an office so I gotta 'keep it Corporate'.

Not that anyone has said anything, but it's an office fulla smart suits and a clean cut trendy young crowd with the tight business shits etc so for Work I keep it a moderate length.

On the image/perception thing I find many people tell me it suits me coz I 'ride a bike'.
