    Hi Crew.

Yeah the party went pretty well Jill, surfaced about 10 on Sunday. Back to the Morg for a while and another barbie in Rocky with the lations Sunday night.

Good to meet Rob and Sambo, catch up with Mick and Shelly, and an old fart that used to be at Middlemount was at the Rodeo.

And not to forget Jill and Lynne, good to see you adding a bit of class to the Yeppoon social scene!

Headed out at 9 am Monday, got a bit of rain until about Gin Gin, then a lot of rain until about Maryborough, then fucken PISSED DOWN to Gympie. I was riding through water up to the boots, following a car so I could ride in its wake! Got to the Caltex servo on the south side of Gympie and decided that at 4 o'clock on Easter Monday the rest of the ride home would be an absolute shitter. So when the wife pulled up (all dry and warm in the Honda) I suggested the Motel across the road with a vacancy sign was as good a place as any to spend the night. Headed home this morning and it was a pretty good run.

The neutral light has gone on the Wideglide, so will investigate that later. Surprised it actually went so well in the deluge. Don't think I've ever ridden in rain that heavy in 35+ years of riding. (I would just like to thank Dave for providing me with previous wet weather riding experience in SEQ.

Anyway a good trip overall, 1450km and no incidents - gotta be worth something. Same can't be said for the number of cars that were either crashed or had slid off into ditches. Some people should just learn their and their vehicles limitations

Glad you got back ok Laurie, luckily we went to Longreach when you blokes all left we stayed dry the whole trip we did 3118ks all up for the round trip and the ride home was a mamoth 15hour ride from Emerald to the Gold Coast plus a few coffee, piss breaks, fuel and food stops in between.
What memory Rob I gave up on that years ago hehe.
Rocky put on a fucking great rally, Mount Isa for next years QLD rally should be good, then I am coming home via Darwin just to be different any takers.
