Nice good to see a solid product developing.

Well I did a quick tune today and didn't gain a lot on the top end, tune over all seems a lot smoother maybe its just me wishful thinking, but we will see its warm today and I have been on and off it a few times, I will see how it start when I go to work on Monday.

Bike does run nice though took it for a quick hit out the road and come back with nice grey pipes so I am happy,

this is only a temp tune for me I have a new baffle and cam going in on the 18th so I will need to re tune then anyway, I was just testing out the MT8 maps,

My VE maps look nice and uniform (back ones a bit lumpy but looks ok).

Now a question I did my cam tune (prior to doing the Vtune) and it showed to set it to 5 in is that normal for a stock cam, it doesn't sound off when running so I assume its fine?

Anyway I will tune it up again after the 18th and report in, cheers.

My laptop crashed and I lost all of my home built maps for all the pipes and engine mods I've run over the years.
I just started again and done 4 hours of Vtuning a few weeks back and the bike is running extremely well with dpc176 . I suppose when the new software is released I might as well run the new software and Vtune again to see how it go's. I might even add a new set of S&S headers to my collection.

Thats fucked Hogbag, I save everthing to a external hard drive for such sitiation, but in saying that I will probably never re-use them, but have given some to other people to start with

I should have saved them but shit happens. I never had the MTE map as Frasers fitted my SERT back in late 06 so I never got it from them. That pisses me of more than loosing my library of tuned maps for my exhaust collection.

That's fast work with the CP slugs and 662 cams. Fuck it must be hooting now so tell the misses hang on tight.

Opps non of that sorta stuff yet mate, the slugs are in the post so should be in about 4 weeks couple off swings at work to get outa the way and its will be happening

I have a standard 2010 Wideglide...I have Bassani road rage pipes coming and a k&n filter on the way...Is there a standard map that can be downloaded for this setup??? This is all new to me as I'm coming off an Evo...

There will be a map to suit your bike but you will need to run a few Vtunes to get the best results. The new Mastertune 2 is very close to being released so where not sure about it all the new software coming. My guess is it will be more DIY tuning friendly and have a much bigger memory for Vtuning with out the laptop but I'm only guessing.

The new product is going to be a replacement for the current product with the addition of support for the CAN equipped bikes. This means we will now cover 2001 - 2013 or ALL current production. Once the product is shipping will will have updates being released for it as they get fully tested. These updates will be free and we have a list of what we wanted to add along with request from customers. Mastertune2 software will work with the current interface as well as the new interface but all future updates will be for the new interface. So in short it means there is plenty more to come in the future but for now it's new software and a new interface to replace the current product.

So as far as the old unit is concerned it is basicly map updates only and no new features that we can utilise?

I know this has been asked on other firums and has been unanswered but are you going to offer a trade in being that the old one is pretty much at its end now?

So will you still need to carry around a laptop to collect data? This has been the primary reason I have not bought a TTS.

No need to carry laptop, stores in dongle like hd's tuner. You will still need lap top to generate tune.

Not sure if i am a fan of no laptop now as it will be harder to hit cells for tune. Dont know if you can run dongle and laptop?

The first release of the new product will work/act just as I stated above. The dealers all wanted the product that way first then add more upgrades as we get them fully tested out. I'm not going to say this that or the other thing as there are so many stories floating around I'm not sure I've heard them all just yet. This means you still need the laptop for tuning and data collection. The new software has updates in most all the programs that should make things nicer/easier than the older software. Our new WEB SITE will also have a storage area for all of your calibrations. This way you can put your STOCK *.MTE file there and your calibration there and download it back to any computer, anytime, night and day, from any location. With the software already on the Website this means you can use any Windows computer to change the calibrations on the road without having your laptop with you! This is a free service for those who chose to use it. The servers are all being upgraded now and the new site should be up and running by the close of business Tuesday, so they tell me.

The first upgrade I believe out after the first release will be the ability to store the calibrations in the interface. This is two calibrations, the stock uploaded (*.MTE) file and the last calibration programmed into the bike (*.MT8). followed by the ability to record data to the interface if you like. You will be able to record data with a laptop or to the interface, your choice once that upgrade is released. There are also several more upgrades in the works beyond those two list but I'm not willing to talk about them just yet.

It sounds great and thanks for the update on the new interface and software. Will the old interface except the first release of Mastertune 2 software.  I'm very happy with my old updated SERT to TTS and my bike is running great after 6 years of hotting her up with zero dyno time saving me thousands of dollars. I doubt the new interface or updates can make my bike go any better but I'm considering buying one anyway.

The old interface will only receive the first update of mastertune2 and any updates after that you will need the new interface as it will have a larger memory to except all the planed upgrades.
That's my take but I hope your right and I'm wrong.

Mastertune2 does work with the older VCI and the upgrades with the software. To use the new hardware features like, storing maps, and logging data, you need the new VCI.

First I heard of the new website. Sounds great.

The support for the old interfaces will be in the new software, we did this as we will no longer update the old software. This means the new software will do everything the old software did for those of you with the old units and some of the new features you will be able to use as well. Some you will not be able to use with the old interface. Storing of the calibrations on the web site will be for everyone but is limited to only our calibration files.
