Left hand side before I started

    Remove the footpeg and gearlever

New gear lever and mount, bolted on like the other side.

    Rear footboard mount.

Rear mount fitted to mid mount on the frame.  Gear shift and heel/toe shifter fitted.  Note that I should now be able to take the oil filter off without dropping the gear lever like normal.

    Left side finished

Note how the rubber should be able to make vibrations barely felt. (I HOPE)  This kit is a copy of the Dyna Defender kit that was available in the states for the police bikes in the late 90 's

It looks worse than it is, due to the angle I took the photo on.  The heel peg is actually behind the floorboad.  I think the only issue may be that you WILL have to use the heel to change up, and the toe to change down, as you cant ste the angle to give toe clearance only.

I rode a Jap cruiser once a few years back, and you could do it all with the toe if you wanted.  I think the shifters were seperate so you could set either as high as you wanted.

makes sense. Actually if all you wanted was the board part of it you could just use a single shifter and position it on the splien to suit. Be reasonably comfortable on a long ride I would think

Looks good but looks like the boards sit pretty high up. Have you still got this set-up. Are you happy with it? An update now would be very handy.

    Cheers.
