So you guys rate the standard HD manual?

Are there better options such as a Clymer or stick to the original manual?

Not the manual that comes with the bike mate. You have to buy it from the dealer. 99$ I think and it's about 2 inches thick.

    Hi there

These are good as well. service manual is a must but these DVDs actually show you "hands on" how to maintain stuff and repair or replace as required. A bit pricey but worth it for the less HD mechanically experienced.

    check out

    www.buyve.com

for aftermarket manuals (or any book really...).

I got my Clymer from them for a cool US$35 and for postage for the 2kg monster they charged an unbelievable US$3 (three). It did take nearly a month to arrive but at less than half what they charge over here for it it's worth the wait. I've ordered repeatedly from them and their service was always spot on plus you appear to be supporting a charity- what's not to like?

Doesn't fully explain it, but quite a fascinating animation.
