Hi all

Just thought I would introduce myself as I have just joined these forums a few moments ago.  Anyway I have just ordered a new 110th anniversary limited edition 2013 Harley Davidson Fatboy Lo.  I hope to learn the ins and outs of many things HD and go on a couple of rides and meet a few faces in the future...till then I have to wait for my new bike to arrive at my local dealer.  I am located in South East Melbourne.

Thanks for all the welcomes so far. Depending on who I talk to has different approx dates on when it arrives. For instance one dealer reckons they will have them in their showroom for their 19th of September 2013 release of bikes, where as my dealer doesn't want to confirm just in case they get it wrong but they did say they hoped sometime around October this year. For me that is ok as I am saving up every dollar to purchase it between now and then.

I am liking all these welcome's...who ever said that Harley riders weren't friendly?  Anyway I have been spending my last few days going over the 2013 Harley parts catalogue from the US website and making a huge list of what to buy and add to my new bike when it arrives.
My biggest decision is I can't make up my mind on which brand of pipes to go for on this anniversary model, should I stay authentic and true to the brand and go with Screamin Eagle's or just lash out and get some great looking Vance & Hines. Anyway today I just purchased my new open face helmet that fits just nicely so I am slowly getting everything I need together.

I still haven't received the bike yet as they are still in manufacturing. I hope to get it in the next couple of months (say October/November). I have heard some of the Vance & Hines range of pipes and reckon they look and sound absolutely fantastic. How much quieter are the Screamin Eagles when compared to the Vance & Hines. How much louder are the Screamin Eagles over the standard pipes?

go onto youtube and type in the different exhausts that you wish to hear and it will give you a bit of an idea

Just got an update on my 2013 Fatboy Lo 110th anniversary edition. I am told that they are now in production and are due to leave the US around late October and will take about 6 to 8 weeks till they are in stores ready for pickup. So with a bit of luck it should be sitting in the showroom sometime in December. Arrrhhh....the long slow wait!
