Great job! That's a lot of work.

Aside from the sprung seat I think it looks tops and concur with a statement above that the factory should offer something like this. At the very least make the 16" spoked wheels an option.

    G'day  Chinashop

I have just spent a week or so away with a group of mates. Quite a few are on Glides - Roadkings and Streetglides. Some of the other boys are now showing an interest but the switchback seems to be overlooked - bugger if I know why.

I would love to own one and love the style you have captured. Do the Bags still fit with those pipes ? Are they single or dual?

Happy to see some more Pics . . .

    Cheers

    Philthy

Thanks Chinashop. I reckon they are a 103cube $23k blank canvass that harks back to the shovel FL days.

    Oh for the lotto life . . . . . .

Mate, that is super and something I would love to do to my switchback.

Can you tell me a bit more on the cost of this and where to get these parts.

    Appreciate

    John

    Thanks heaps bull.

Looks like you did your homework, and thanks for putting the time in for your comprehensive list.

I'm gonna get started on doing this ASAP.

I guess the pipes would be the hardest to do and get. Did you fit yourself or get a workshop to do it.

Is the seat a straightforward thing to do, and is it easy to remove to replace original seat as I take my daughter for a ride at times.

    Thanks again man

It's looking better every time. Your photography is excellent as well.

Just a couple of questions for you if you dont mind.

I've managed to get hold of a tractor seat, but want to know if you used the dyna kit to mount, or did you fashion something yourself, and is it comfy on a long ride. I rode a sporty with the solo seat like you had before, and nearly split my arse in half.

Also I've just bought a set of Burly bars thinking they would fit pretty well straight on, but will need to get longer clutch and brake lines. Do I need to replace entire clutch cable to the gearbox or just to the join. Also with the brake cable, can I just get a longer piece to where they all join under the forks, or do I need to replace the lot.

I've also managed to find a bloke here in Perth that makes custom pipes and I was getting him to make me some twin fish tails, but he rang me today with the price and just too much. Have decided to keep original headers and just get him to make a fishtail slip on. Much more reasonable. Is there a reason why you used road king headers or was it simply because they look better?

Gonna leave the wheels stock for a bit, as the missus will kill me.

Anyway, I hope I haven't bombarded you with too many questions, but I must say you inspire me with all your work and those pics are really good. Are you a photographer?

    cheers

    John

One more thing George, do I need to remove the tank to replace the throttle cables. It looks like I do, or can I just lift it a little.

You know I just got an over the phone quote from main dealer here in Perth and they said it would probably set me back about $1600 to $2000 for cables and fitting. I told him I would get back to him, which I wont. I think I might leave the bike the way it is for the time being untill I learn more and wait till winter anyway when I wont be riding it so much.
